Tasting Notes
맑은 금빛이 잔 안에 고르게 잠겨 있다. 아메리칸과 유러피언 셰리 시즈닝 오크를 함께 쓴 더블 캐스크 구성이 맥캘란 12년의 성격을 규정한다. 마른 잎과 묵은 책장, 볶은 견과의 향이 태운 설탕의 단 냄새와 함께 은은하게 퍼진다. 40도의 낮은 도수 탓에 입안은 가볍게 흐르며 계피와 육두구, 호두 껍질의 마른 향신료가 앞선다. 과일의 단맛보다 건조한 나무의 결이 중심을 잡는다. 여운은 짧고 드라이하게 마무리되며 홍차 같은 떫음이 남는다.

to be honest, I liked the freshness of the ‘Gold’ a little better. This one’s nice as well, but it’s a little more, yeah, vague, with wee leafy smells, some kinds of dusty nuts, and this feeling of old books that can be brilliant… Or not. Some burnt sugar too, toasts…
restaurant Palate
once again, it’s the low strength that makes it a little too flabby and frustrating. There’s some cinnamon and nutmeg, as well as walnuts, but it feels bizarrely empty, there isn’t enough fruity kick to support those dry spicy notes

very short and quite dry. As if we’ve just had black tea that we had sweetened with aspartame
