Tasting Notes
노즈에서는 카올 일라 1984가 아일라 특유의 옅은 토탄 연기 위로 30년의 시간이 더한 잘 익은 과일과 왁스, 미네랄의 향을 또렷하게 드러낸다. 호그스헤드 숙성이 부드러운 바닐라를 향에 깐다. 입에서는 훈연과 시트러스, 가벼운 소금기가 52.8도의 도수를 타고 균형 있게 발전한다. 오래된 아일라 몰트다운 정제되고 우아한 스모키함이 또렷하며, 피니시는 옅은 재와 오크의 쌉쌀함이 길게 이어진다.

this is more refined, more elegant, and certainly more tertiary than all the others, which goes to show how important age can be. There are essential oils, for example (pine, perhaps ambergris or something…), wet jacket, mushrooms, fern, pine needles, fresh hazelnuts, moss, camphor… Most of those aromas usually only come after proper ageing in my opinion. With water: medicinal. Yeah

oh yeah. A very tight, pine-y and lemony arrival, exactly not soft and mellow, while it would rather unfold on many bitter herbs and roots. I cannot wait to see what happens after water’s been added. With water: loves water but once again, not too much or it loses a bit of its cohesion and coherence
