air Nose
smells like rye from hyperactive oak, and that works. For example, I've tried the young Willett the other day and we aren't very far apart. Sure we're extremely far from our beloved Scotch - the Two Ravens was actually a little closer - but again, it works. Cinnamon, vanilla, ginger, bitter oranges and violet-flavoured sweets. Ein Amerikaner aus Appenzell!
restaurant Palate
quite excellent, very sweet, playful, not unlike the Charbay that we had the other day. The oak's a tad loudish but other than that, we have a very nice and much unexpected combo of ginger and litchi liqueurs, blood oranges, pepper, Turkish delights and cinnamon. Oh, and rye again
timer Finish
long, fruity and spicy
