smoky too but with more wood, bitter chocolate, coffee beans and rotten hay. Gets then very animal, horse stable, cow… Weird!
restaurant Palate
very sugary and curiously vegetal. Lots of icing sugar and lemon juice, getting bitter and a bit acid. Not too enjoyable. Gets also grassier and grassier with time… Raw fruit spirit. Really hard to enjoy although intellectually interesting. But we aren’t here for that, are we? 79 points . Caol Ila 7 yo 1993/2000 (62.1%, Scotch Malt Whisky Society, 53.50)
