잔을 가까이 하면 카올일라 특유의 레몬 같은 시트러스와 옅은 해초 향이 명확하게 드러난다. 1991년 증류해 16년을 보낸 이 위스키는 호그스헤드의 영향으로 피트가 거칠지 않고 정갈하게 정돈되어 있다. 입에서는 57.9도의 높은 도수에도 재와 후추, 짭짤한 미네랄이 또렷하게 펼쳐진다. 피니시는 마른 장작 연기와 소금기가 길게 남으며 산뜻한 산미가 끝을 정리한다. 아일라 북부의 해안 캐릭터가 절제된 균형 속에서 단단하게 드러나는 보틀링이다.

it seems that this one developed more towards a rather big oiliness. At random, we have apple peelings, lamp oil, linseed oil, paraffin, fresh butter, fresh almonds, putty, orgeat, whiffs of ink, roots... Oh, and smoke of course. And fresh walnuts
