잔을 흔들면 옅은 밀짚빛이 가볍게 잔벽을 타고 흐른다. 코를 가까이 가져가면 홋카이도 앗케시가 빚은 젖은 장작 연기와 바닷바람, 그 아래로 버번 캐스크가 준 레몬과 바닐라가 또렷이 깃들어 있다. 3년의 어린 일본 위스키를 한 모금 머금으면 58도가 혀를 데우며 짭짤한 피트와 보리 단맛이 번진다. 삼키고 나면 차가운 바다 내음이 섞인 연기가 혀끝을 오래 따라온다.
