짙은 적갈색에 루비빛이 감돈다. 보르도 카베르네 소비뇽 캐스크가 남긴 검은 베리와 자두, 건포도의 향이 코끝에서 진하게 어우러진다. 아일랜드 킬로웬 증류소의 9년 원액답게 입안에서는 붉은 과실의 단맛과 다크초콜릿, 가벼운 향신료가 두꺼운 질감으로 번진다. 55도의 질감은 단단하면서도 둥글다. 이 보틀링의 여운은 검붉은 과일과 건포도의 달콤함에 마른 탄닌이 더해져 길게 이어진다. 아일랜드 소규모 증류소의 개성이 또렷이 드러난다.
