잔을 코끝에 가져가면 44년을 보낸 그레인 특유의 옅은 풀스벅 향이 가장 먼저 인사한다. 1971년산 노스 오브 스코틀랜드의 절제된 도수가 잔 안에서 부드럽게 풀린다. 한 모금을 머금으면 마른 시리얼과 가벼운 코코넛, 옅은 꿀 단맛이 혀 위에서 천천히 펼쳐진다. 삼키고 나면 마른 풀과 옅은 흙내가 길게 따라간다. 43.3 도수가 만든 가벼운 무게가 끝까지 정직하게 유지된다.
