잔을 흔들면 30년을 보낸 카스브릿지 그레인의 짙은 황금빛이 잔 벽을 따라 부드럽게 흘러내린다. 잔을 코끝에 가져가면 호그스헤드의 바닐라 빈, 코코넛, 옅은 메이플 향이 가장 먼저 인사한다. 50.8도의 한 모금을 머금으면 라 메종 뒤 위스키 아티스트 7번 보틀링이 매끄러운 텍스처로 카라멜, 백단향, 마른 향신료를 입천장에 비춘다. 잔을 내려놓아도 노숙성 그레인의 단맛이 또렷이 깃들어 있다.

creamy, and rather more citrusy, which is a blessing. Little ‘dull’ popcorn and vanilla-ed maple syrup, rather tangerine juice, blood oranges, and, yep, coconut oil. Not quite an empty, or silent grain whisky, this one. With water: goes on with the same flavours, perhaps a tad sweeter
