스코틀랜드 로우랜드의 완만한 평야와 온화한 기후는 곡물 위스키 특유의 가벼운 단정함을 빚는다. 카스브리지 1982는 그 풍토를 따라 맑은 황금빛으로 잔에 잠긴다. 코에는 코코넛과 옥수수의 달큰함, 바닐라 크림이 잔잔히 떠오른다. 리필 호그스헤드에서 33년을 보낸 덕에 입안은 부드러운 토피와 가벼운 오크로 둥글게 채워진다. 44.9도의 절제된 힘이 긴 세월을 매끄럽게 다듬어, 여운은 은은한 바닐라로 잔잔하게 사그라든다.

indeed, very good. One of those sugared rums, without that added sugar. Chestnut cake, brownies, Corinthian raisins, toffee… In short, some excellent liquid toffee
