호그스헤드에서 16년을 보낸 숙성이 쿨 일라의 정갈한 훈연을 또렷하게 다듬었다. 향에서는 바다 내음과 레몬, 옅은 모닥불 연기가 산뜻하게 올라온다. 59.2도의 한 모금은 그을린 보리와 올리브 오일, 짭조름한 미네랄이 깔끔하게 흐른다. 옅은 밀짚빛의 이 보틀링은 2007년에 병입되었고, 여운에서 재와 시트러스, 해풍의 짠맛이 길고 산뜻하게 이어진다.

none, which is rather good news. One of the very few real misses by this reputable bottler (the same that bottled maybe the best Port Ellen and Caol Ila ever, imagine). 30 points . Macduff 16 yo 1991/2007 (59.6%, The Single Malts of Scotland, cask #6731, 180 bottles)
