Flavor Profile
Tasting Notes
오랜 시간이 잔에 남긴 호박빛이 깊게 자리 잡는다. 1974년에 채워진 리필 호그스헤드가 32년을 보낸 흔적이 향에서 또렷이 깃든다. 잘 익은 사과와 마른 풀, 옅은 꿀이 코를 부드럽게 채운다. 입에서는 47.8도의 알코올이 둥글게 가라앉으며 헤이즐넛과 시트러스 껍질, 보리의 단맛이 천천히 펼쳐진다. 폐쇄된 밴프 증류소의 흔적이 마지막 잔향까지 잔잔히 이어진다.

air Nose
starts rather big and aromatic on a very ‘idiosyncratic’ mix of orange juice, mustard and coal, but gets then a little drier and dustier, with some slightly stale/sourish notes (old white wine). Whiffs of farmyard after the rain, apple juice, then more coal, stove, soot… Old style for sure, unlike any ‘current’ whisky
restaurant Palate
sweeter and a tad rounder, a good attack on notes of mead and arak, figs, prunes and then something more cardboardy and slightly tea-ish. A little more pepper too, but the palate is a little more easy-easy than the nose
timer Finish
medium long, clean, on figs and café latte. Not much ‘Banffness’ here
