스웨덴 서해안 보후슬렌의 차가운 바닷바람과 짧은 여름이 스뫼겐의 짙은 피트 캐릭터를 단단하게 벼린다. 퍼스트필 PX 셰리 호그스헤드에서 6년을 보낸 이 위스키는 짙은 호박빛을 머금는다. 향에서는 해초 같은 피트 연기와 건자두, 다크초콜릿이 얽히고 옅은 가죽내가 뒤따른다. 한 모금에는 58.3도의 강한 기운을 타고 훈연한 베이컨과 말린 무화과, 감초의 단맛이 묵직하게 입을 채운다. 중간에는 구운 견과와 흑설탕의 진한 단맛이 두꺼운 질감으로 번진다. PX의 진득한 당과 바다 소금기가 어우러진 여운이 길고 뜨겁게 이어진다.

long, with some white pepper and cinnamon, also nutmeg and bitter oranges. Sour liqueurs in the aftertaste, artichoke, bitters, beer reduction, and then a load of various peppers…
