Tasting Notes
진한 호박빛에 붉은 기운이 어린다. 2013년 증류해 9년을 보낸 스웨덴의 스뫼겐은 서해안의 차가운 기후 속에서 자란 피트 몰트로, 마데이라 바리크가 더한 달큰함이 인상적이다. 향에서는 잦아든 훈연과 잘 익은 베리, 건포도의 기운이 어우러진다. 59.6도의 높은 도수답게 한 모금은 매캐한 연기와 흑설탕, 붉은 과일이 힘차게 입을 채운다. 싱글 캐스크로 병입된 이 위스키는 재와 말린 과일의 잔향을 길게 끌어간다.

varnish, olives, gherkins, dried kelp, green walnuts, bitter vermouth (some peated vermouth!), touch of mustard, toffee, praline and a double-espresso. With water: seriously, and please excuse me Mr Distiller, this baby reminds of some of the official 'phroaigs 10 yo C/S. New tyres, grapefruit zests, pomelos…
restaurant Palate
it's rather Ali vs. Frazier on your palate. Feeling of tarmac, heavy liquorice, truffle, artichoke liqueur, lemon, more olives… The smoke's rather medicinal (I know, any excuses…) With water: still heavy, more medicinal yet. Some old medicine full of tar, camphor, cardamom, caraway… Something very faintly lactic in the aftertaste (vanilla cream)
timer Finish
there, brine, some saltiness, porridge, rye bread… The pomelos is back in the aftertaste, together with some chocolate
