Tasting Notes
잔에 따르면 옅은 황금빛이 맑게 감돌며 스웨덴 서해안의 차가운 바다를 떠올리게 한다. 코끝에는 퍼스트필 버번 배럴이 남긴 바닐라와 레몬 껍질이 먼저 스치고, 그 아래로 스뫼겐 특유의 거칠고 매캐한 피트 연기가 굵게 솟구친다. 62.4도의 높은 도수가 혀를 뜨겁게 달구지만 럼 캐스크 피니시에서 온 사탕수수 시럽의 단맛이 그 열기를 부드럽게 감싸 균형을 잡는다. 물을 한 방울 더하면 바닐라와 해초 같은 짠 내음이 한층 또렷이 갈라져 나온다. 7년이라는 짧은 숙성이 믿기지 않을 만큼 여운은 훈연과 단내를 길게 끌고 간다.

smoked lace. It’s incredibly soft at this insane strength, with distant whiffs of menswear store (tweed!), fields, barnyard, farm, just one drop of horse sweat, and a wee glass of caraway spirit. Really, it whispers, it’s not a brute at all. With water: drier, earthier. Hay, pipe tobacco, old leathers, but never without a kind of cleanness
restaurant Palate
there, here’s the brute. Crushed pine needles, thyme, rapeseed oil, cod oil, then lemons and caraway again. Juniper too, and a lot of smoke, rather of the greener kind. Of course smokes, just like dreams, come in colours. With water: yess, there, this is impeccable. Citrus, papayas, lemons, mild syrups, kiwis, smoke, and this very specific mangoness (what?) that sometimes comes with peat. Think proper Laphroaig
