셰리 우드에서 19년을 보낸 1981년 로크사이드는 사라진 몬트로즈 증류소가 남긴 시간을 셰리의 결로 증언한다. 건포도와 구운 견과, 가죽의 향이 묵직하게 올라온다. 58도의 힘찬 도수 위로 다크 초콜릿과 말린 자두, 향신료의 단맛이 진하게 입을 채운다. 짙은 적갈색 사이로 흑당과 쌉싸름한 카카오의 여운이 길고 진하게 이어진다.

we aren’t too far from the TN/TWA bottling here, except that this one is a little less expressive… Maybe. Very similar, in fact, maybe just a little flintier. With water: it diverges now, with more mint and a pleasant smokiness. Interesting!
