깊은 황금빛이 잔에 또렷이 깃들어 있다. 사라진 로우랜드 St. Magdalene 1963을 16년 익혀 Gordon & MacPhail이 Connoisseurs Choice로 40도에 병입한 옛 보틀이다. 코에는 흰 꽃과 잘 익은 사과, 미세한 밀랍이 부드럽게 비친다. 입안에서는 보리 단맛과 시트러스 껍질, 약초의 쓴맛이 두꺼운 질감으로 흐른다. 60년대 로우랜드의 섬세한 캐릭터가 절제된 40도에 그대로 담겨 있다. 여운에는 꽃향과 마른 오크가 길게 이어진다.
