Flavor Profile
Tasting Notes
Colour
dark mahogany or coffee
air Nose
it’s extremely dry and very powerful. The colour is ‘coffee’ and so is the nose so far. Espresso without sugar (yeah, what else). Also quite some gunpowder arising, leather… No fruitiness whatsoever so far. Strange! With water: becomes very meaty and chocolaty, with only faint hints of blackcurrants. I like dry sherry very much usually but I feel this is a tad monodimensional
restaurant Palate
VERY powerful. Some very strong malts are quaffable provided you take only a few drops but this one isn’t, it’ll just burn your throat and anything that’s above. With water: it’s better for sure, with more fruits, currants, strawberries and blackberries, all that in a slightly leathery and herbal gangue
timer Finish
long, with more liquorice
