air Nose
lots of pear and apple, very fresh and youthful, with some very enjoyable notes of yeast and beer. Very clean and highly drinkable
restaurant Palate
very lively again, with lots of body. The attack is rather sweet but all fruits are in there: pears, apples, peaches, apricots, berries… Some superb spicy notes add some extra-complexity to it… In short, a totally flawless one, and perhaps the best bourbon cask Macallan I ever had. 89 points . MUSIC - Were were you on Feb 13th, 1960? I wasn't quite born yet (a matter of months) so I have a good excuse for not having gone to Berlin to see the great Ella Fitzgerald live... Not that I'm an eternal fan, but this one, this one! Listen to Mack the Knife - mp3 and you'll see what I mean. Ah, yes, the record: it's simply 'Ella in Berlin' (not Ella returns to Berlin, which is also great, btw.) Please buy Ella Fitzgerlad's music if you like classic jazz. What, you already have it?
