잔을 가까이 하면 서부 해안 증류소 오반의 잘 익은 과일과 옅은 바다 향이 명확하게 드러난다. 클래식 몰트 시리즈 이전에 병입된 14년 몰트답게 노즈는 꿀과 시트러스, 가벼운 훈연이 또렷하게 올라온다. 팰럿은 43도의 부드러운 도수 위로 보리 단맛과 소금기가 발전한다. 해안 하이랜드다운 균형 잡힌 구조감이 돋보이고, 피니시는 소금기와 향신료로 길게 이어진다.

softer and fruitier than the older ones, more on green fruits and yellow flowers, but this subtle sense of peppery and waxy backbone with hints of mustard powder are still there. Also these robust cooking oil notes and gorse flower - it's generally rather more floral I would say

same impression of a rather challenging and powerful make where that power is all about coastal notes, drier more saline qualities, peppery once again, very delicate medical notes, some herbal teas and mineral oils
