오랜 세월이 깃든 옅은 황금빛이 잔 속에 맑게 잠겨 있다. 1975년 증류된 이 올드 카올 일라는 오늘날보다 한결 부드러운 아일라의 얼굴을 보여준다. 향에서는 가라앉은 모닥불 연기 위로 레몬과 바닷바람, 옅은 올리브 오일 같은 기운이 번진다. 한 모금 머금으면 43도의 도수가 그을린 보리와 소금기, 은은한 꿀을 차분하게 풀어낸다. 22년 숙성을 거친 이 아일라 몰트의 여운은 잔잔한 연기와 미네랄로 길게 남는다.
