소테른 와인 캐스크가 헤르시니안 증류소의 6년 위스키를 정성껏 길들인 흔적이 잔 안에 또렷하게 드러난다. 향에서는 잘 익은 노란 자두와 흰 꽃, 마지팬이 잔잔히 잠겨 있고 캐스크의 흔적인 가벼운 곰팡이향이 뒤따른다. 입에서는 살구 잼과 흰 후추, 꿀의 두꺼운 단맛이 미끄러지듯 흐른다. 61.8도의 알코올이 어리지만 흩어지지 않고 독일 곡물 위스키 특유의 깨끗한 결이 길게 머문다. 옅은 호박빛이 잔에 비친다.
