더프타운 외곽 피딕 강가에 자리한 글렌둘란은 단단하고 곡물 향이 또렷한 스페이사이드 원액을 빚는다. 잔에는 맑은 황금빛이 돈다. 호그스헤드에서 12년을 보낸 2009년 원액은 사과와 보리, 바닐라 향을 깔끔하게 열고, 냉각 여과를 거치지 않아 기름진 질감이 그대로 살아 있다. 46도의 입안은 보리 단맛과 시트러스가 부드럽게 미끄러지며 가벼운 오크가 받친다. 여운에는 곡물과 흰 꽃의 맑은 잔향이 잔잔하게 이어진다.

fully on these cakes and biscuits and scones and pancakes and muffins and cupcakes that we all adore. The maltiness is perfect, fudge and custard are doing their jobs, and while we wouldn't scream 'hey, that's Glendullan!' we are just pleased with this flawlessly natural little Speysider

medium, a tad more bitter, which is totally normal. More tea, apples, allspice… Brown ale and beer batter in the aftertaste
