오랜 시간이 응축된 옅은 호박빛이 잔 깊숙이 내려앉아 있다. 엘릭서 디스틸러스가 골라낸 카올 일라 1984년 빈티지는 37년의 숙성 끝에 옅어진 피트의 결을 짭조름한 바닷바람과 마른 시트러스, 따스한 보리의 향으로 풀어낸다. 한 모금이 입천장을 부드럽게 덮으며 잘 익은 배와 옅은 훈연, 흰 후추가 미끄러지듯 이어진다. 53.2도의 단단한 짜임 끝에는 옅은 가죽과 잔잔한 소금기가 길게 깊게 머문다.

yes, classic Caol Ila. A little liquorice, smoke, fruit salad, marzipan… Gets smokier and ashier with time, swinging from fruits to smoke and minerals
