노즈에서는 1971년 빈티지의 스페이번답게 잘 익은 과수원 과일과 밀랍, 옅은 향신료 향이 가장 먼저 두드러진다. 반세기를 거슬러 올라가는 올드 보틀링다운 깊은 무게가 향에 묻어난다. 입에서는 40도의 낮은 도수 안에서 사과와 꿀, 은은한 오크가 부드러운 구조감으로 발전하고, 오랜 병 숙성을 거친 듯한 묵직한 결이 또렷이 깃들어 있다. 피니시는 맥아의 고소함과 옅은 향목이 중간 길이로 이어지며 단정하게 마무리된다.
