Tasting Notes
스페이사이드 로시스의 스페이번은 강가 협곡에 자리한 그림 같은 증류소다. 피노 셰리와 버번 캐스크가 25년 숙성된 색을 잘 익은 황금빛으로 물들였다. 코에는 잘 익은 사과와 꿀, 가벼운 견과가 향긋하게 올라온다. 46도의 단정한 도수가 입에서 시트러스와 보리 사탕, 견과의 단맛을 부드럽게 펼친다. 강가의 서늘한 풍토가 25년 숙성에 산뜻한 균형을 더했다. 여운은 꿀과 견과의 결을 길게 남긴다.

hey hey, this seems to be rounder and sweeter than the ‘usual’ Speyburn, less porridgy as well, all that thanks to some more active American oak. That translates into more vanilla and honey, fudge, apple compote and corn syrup, sweetcorn and butter and then touches of orange juice and cinnamon. After a few minutes, wee porridge/muesli notes come through, with maybe a little more distillery character
restaurant Palate
a rather creamy start, between soft wood spices (ginger, liquorice wood) and a smooth vanillaness that combines well with touches of hard caramel (Werther’s) and a little clove. Notes of Guinness as well
