오크 캐스크에서 30년을 보낸 시간이 1983년 빈티지 Caol Ila의 캐릭터를 또렷이 빚어낸다. 긴 숙성이 피트의 거친 모서리를 부드럽게 다듬어 그을린 해초와 의약품 향이 차분한 결로 다가오고, 입에는 짠 미네랄과 훈제 레몬의 맛이 깊게 머문다. 54.8도의 강도가 오래된 위스키답지 않게 단단한 구조감을 유지하며 아일라 노스 쇼어의 갯내가 또렷이 깃든다. 옅은 황금빛이 잔에 잠기고 여운은 식어가는 모닥불처럼 길게 사그라든다.
