Tasting Notes
Colour
pale white wine
air Nose
yes! A crisp, uncomplicated but totally accomplished youngish Coal Ila from a shy cask that let the spirit do all the talking. As rieslingesque as it gets, with just the right amount of lemon juice, brine, ashes, soot and kippers
restaurant Palate
exactly the same feeling. Crystal-clear Caol Ila, maybe a notch fruitier than others, with touches of cranberries and pomegranates (because of the silent wood?) and then brine, lemon and smoked fish (all breeds)
timer Finish
medium long, very zesty and pure
