Tasting Notes
진한 적갈색이 잔 안에 깊게 고인다. 코를 가까이 하면 말라가 페드로 히메네스가 남긴 건포도와 무화과 시럽의 향이 먼저 번지고 잘 구운 견과의 기운이 받친다. 입에 머금으면 페엑스 캐스크가 농축한 검붉은 과일과 흑설탕의 단맛이 혀를 두껍게 채우며 53.4도의 힘이 단단하게 받쳐 준다. 브륄러 위스키하우스가 거둔 이 2004년 스페이사이드는 짙은 단 와인 캐스크의 깊이를 잘 보여준다. 여운은 건포도와 다크초콜릿으로 길게 남는다.

air Nose
much fruitier, and smelling much younger than the Monbazillac, quite curiously. Really playful! Lots of Mirabelle jam, pineapple syrup, and even some hints of bubble gum. It’s very nice but less complex and less special than the previous one. Hints of peach syrup
restaurant Palate
very sweet attack again, but then there’s quite a lot of spirity notes. Quite rubbery, with some cooked yogurt, burnt wood, ‘still’ tastes (metal). I liked the ‘Monbazillac’ much better. Some slight bitter notes (tea leaves). The finish is long but, again, a little bitter and offbeat. 78 points . Speyside 1990 ‘Armagnac finishing’ (53.5%, Celtique Connexion, cask sample)
