잔을 흔들면 암릇 7년이 인도의 뜨거운 기후에서 빠르게 익은 짙은 시리얼과 포트 파이프의 빨간 베리 향을 풀어 놓는다. 잔을 코끝에 가져가면 다크 체리와 잘 익은 자두 노트가 또렷이 일어난다. 한 모금을 머금으면 60도의 도수가 인도 보리 특유의 진한 단맛으로 입천장을 천천히 덮는다. 마지막에는 포트 캐스크의 빨간 베리 잔향이 입가에 오래 남는다.
