잔을 가볍게 돌리면 피티드 럼 피니시 10년의 짙은 호박빛이 잔 벽을 미끄러지듯 따라간다. 잔을 코끝에 가져가면 인도 암럿 그리디 에인절스 체어맨스 리저브답게 잘 익은 망고와 옅은 토탄 연기가 가장 먼저 인사한다. 한 모금을 머금으면 57.1도의 캐스크 스트렝스가 흑설탕 럼과 모닥불 재를 입천장에 깊게 펼친다. 삼킨 뒤를 따라가면 열대성 숙성 인도 위스키다운 광택 있는 향신료 끝맛이 길게 이어진다.

Perfect chocolate, the best Mars bar ever, maraschino, prunes-and-marzipan, ham cooked in orange juice (works great), late-harvest gewürztraminer… I know all that sounds weird, but it’s not.
