잔을 흔들면 짙은 호박빛이 잔 안에서 윤기 있게 돈다. 코끝에 가져가면 인도 암룻다운 잘 익은 망고와 진한 보리, 향신료 향이 강렬하게 올라온다. 8년을 보낸 이 위스키를 한 모금 머금으면 더운 기후가 빚은 졸인 열대 과일과 꿀, 매운 정향이 50도의 도수로 혀를 두껍게 채운다. 삼키면 오크 타닌과 흑설탕 같은 단맛이 입안에 길게 이어진다.
