Tasting Notes
노즈에서는 묵은 오크와 마른 사과, 가벼운 꿀 향이 먼저 드러난다. 임페리얼 1990은 19년을 채운 스페이사이드 위스키로, 이제 사라진 증류소에서 나온 53.1도의 흔치 않은 보틀링이다. 팰럿은 매끄럽게 흐르며 보리의 단맛과 시트러스, 은은한 향신료가 단단한 균형을 이룬다. 피니시는 마른 풀과 오크의 잔향을 길게 남기며 정갈하게 마무리된다. 사라진 증류소의 단정한 성격이 또렷하게 드러나는 한 잔이다.

this sister cask is much less fruity but woodier and grassier, the oak having been more active. More vanilla, ginger and plain sawdust and a faint sourness (yoghurt). The most austere of the three. With water: even more austere and grassy. Chives, mint, lawn, a little dill
restaurant Palate
ah yes, now it’s my favourite, very old Highlands style, with that great fruits/minerals combo that’s hard to describe. Resinous honey, lemon marmalade, cough drops, pepper… And it’s all really big. With water: more of the same, but big time. Probably a little less complex and ‘entertaining’ than cask #951 but maybe even more satisfying for its great compactness
