it seems that the amount of moscatel is now much lower than in earlier batches, and that’s very good news if you ask me. We’re rather close to the clean ‘naked’ OBs, maybe somewhere between the 12 and the 18. Some coal smoke, ashes, seaweed, apple peeling and a little fresh butter just like in the 12. Also whiffs of eucalyptus (or cough syrup)

restaurant Palate

indeed, the wine’s influence is rather discreet and this dram is very ‘Caol Ila’. Once again, it’s a tad medicinal, smoky, almondy and lemony. Very good

timer Finish

medium long, smoky and almondy. A little curry in the aftertaste
