노즈는 폐쇄된 일본 카루이자와 1977 빈티지의 셰리 버트 30년 숙성과 62.8도 카스크 스트렝스답게 농축된 자두와 가죽, 다크 초콜릿 향이 가장 먼저 두드러진다. 시간이 발전시킨 카라멜라이즈드 견과가 명확하게 드러난다. 팰럿은 진한 무화과와 캔디드 오렌지, 미세한 향신료가 균형을 이루고 두꺼운 질감으로 입을 덮는다. 피니시는 마른 자두와 그을린 오크 잔향이 깊게 머문다. 노 위스키 카미아소비 시리즈답게 잃어버린 카루이자와의 구조감이 단단하다.

I’ve often thought that ex-bourbon Karuizawas used to hint at Yamazaki, and I’ve got that exact feeling now. It’s much narrower than the previous 1984, but in way, this kind of precision is an asset. Vanilla cake, crème de menthe, sawn oak, chlorophyll, just a touch of porridge. But let’s not nose it too deeply at this strength, or we’ll lose our nostrils… With water: like! Old wine cellar, saltpetre, damp chalk, mushrooms…
restaurant Palate
it’s champagne! I’m not joking, you’ve got this very spritzy, almost sparkling kind of arrival, with plenty of grapefruits and oranges, plus a very distinct touch of elderflower. Chewing propolis. The jury’s still out… With water: sappier. Resins and more propolis, plus the most concentrated of marmalades. Like, 250 oranges per kilogram (S., just drop cooking please)
