Tasting Notes
1937년 스트라스아일라 증류액이 셰리우드에서 34년을 보낸 시간이 잔 안에 깊은 골동의 향으로 깃들어 있다. 향에서는 잘 익은 건자두와 호두, 묵은 가죽이 또렷이 드러나고 캐스크에서 빌려온 옅은 곰팡이향이 뒤따른다. 입에서는 무화과 잼과 다크 초콜릿, 정향의 점잖은 단맛이 흐른다. 43도의 절제된 알코올이 흩어지지 않고 1970년대 보틀링 특유의 묵직한 깊이가 길게 머문다. 짙은 적갈색이 잔에 비친다.

air Nose
malty and honeyed at first nosing, with also hints of toasted oak and sherry. Also faint floral notes (our beloved dandelions) and very pleasant hints of orange blossom and orange zests. Maybe not a huge personality but the whole is pleasantly fragrant
restaurant Palate
more ‘Chivas’ so to speak, malty and nutty, with notes of cake and coffee but little fruitiness. Hints of orange marmalade
timer Finish
rather long, still quite malty, with a little honey in the aftertaste
