Tasting Notes
잔을 가볍게 흔들면 1950년대에 봉입된 호박빛이 잔 벽을 따라 천천히 흘러내린다. 잔을 코끝에 가져가면 캠벨타운 특유의 짭조름한 바닷바람과 마른 풀, 묵은 가죽 향이 가장 먼저 인사한다. 한 모금을 머금으면 12년 숙성이라는 표기가 무색하게 잘 익은 사과와 그을린 보리, 옅은 미네랄 짠맛이 입천장을 천천히 덮는다. 잔을 내려놓아도 캐든헤드 보틀링 특유의 마른 허브와 옅은 연기가 입안에 길게 따라간다.

oh! This is wine indeed, like a wonderful dry chenin by a great maker, such as François Chidaine. A great Vouvray, really. Honeysuckle and lime-tea, then rather pink grapefruits and oranges, then grassier and more mineral notes. Limestone. The only problem is that it tends to lose steam over time, maybe that’s the 43% vol., but other than that, it’s a lovely ultra-fresh and clean Springbank that would rather hint at Rosebank in my opinion
restaurant Palate
the distillery’s typical greasiness is back, together with pepper and a little ginger, as well as notes of ale. Beyond all that, the same fresh fruitiness, maybe rather peaches this time, rather than citrus, although there is some grapefruit again

not very long, but this blend of pepper and grapefruits works very well
