짙은 적갈색이 잔에 깊이 어린다. 페터케언의 1990년 빈티지가 올로로소 셰리 쿼터캐스크에서 18년을 머문 뒤 1824 시리즈로 50도에 담긴 한 병이다. 향에서는 잘 익은 무화과와 다크 초콜릿, 옅은 시나몬이 깊게 머문다. 입에서는 흑설탕과 호두, 정향이 두꺼운 질감으로 입을 채운다. 쿼터캐스크의 빠른 우드 영향이 여운에 짙은 셰리의 베리로 길게 이어진다.
