Tasting Notes
아일라 남안의 라가불린 만에 면한 증류소는 짙고 묵직한 피트로 섬의 무게를 대표한다. 잔에는 옅은 금빛이 비친다. 엑스 버번 캐스크에서 9년을 보낸 이 원액은 모닥불 연기와 요오드, 바다 소금 향을 진하게 열고, 비교적 젊은 나이가 연기에 또렷한 생기를 남긴다. 46도의 입안은 그을린 보리와 타르, 후추가 두껍게 흐르며 옅은 단맛이 균형을 잡는다. 여운에는 짙은 연기와 소금기가 길고 진하게 이어진다.

some oak feels a little bit at first, with pencil shavings and curry powder, some tapioca, some cinnamon, quite some nutmeg… Does all that belong here? The distillate will need at least five minutes to come to the front, with a very soft, whispering coastal peatiness. Overripe apples. It is one of the softest Lagavulins I could try, it’s almost NAS with an age statement, if you see what I mean
