Tasting Notes
진한 적갈빛이 잔 안에 짙게 잠겨 있다. 1977년 빈티지의 인치고워가 셰리우드에서 19년을 보낸 후 56도로 병입된 이 카덴헤드 어센틱 컬렉션은 1970년대 스페이사이드의 거친 활기를 그대로 안고 있다. 향에서는 잘 익은 자두와 가죽, 마른 짠맛이 또렷이 깃들어 있다. 입에 닿으면 두꺼운 질감으로 흐르는 건포도와 정향, 가벼운 후추가 입천장을 덮는다. 56도의 도수가 캐스크 스트렝스의 골격을 또렷이 보여 준다. 셰리 캐스크의 결과 빈티지 골격이 서로 또렷이 받쳐 준다. 여운은 길게 이어진다.

gunpowder! And, indeed, coffee as well as some damp wood, damp earth, leather and, once again, these funny touches of vegetables. Maybe rather artichokes this time. Maybe something to do with sulphur, actually. With water: carbon paper and earth, shoe polish, leather of course, very moist pipe tobacco. Thick vegetable soup

huge concoction, extremely syrupy. Cough syrup plus orange liqueur, Fernet-Branca (those artichokes) and liquorice. Seizes your tongue and wouldn’t let go, as they say, but the sweeter, syrup-alike part does balance that feeling. Anyway, with water: perfect now. Mint and eucalyptus kicking in, while the liquorice gets more obvious
