다시 태운 호그스헤드에서 여덟 해를 보낸 숙성이 가장 오래된 증류소로 꼽히는 글렌터렛의 위스키에 진한 나무 향을 새겼다. 향은 카라멜과 구운 빵, 옅은 그을음이 차례로 올라오고, 입에서는 64도가 넘는 강렬한 도수가 토피와 정향, 탄 오크로 또렷하게 번진다. 재가열한 우드가 짧은 숙성에도 깊은 단맛을 끌어냈다. 짙은 호박빛 잔 속에서 향신료 어린 여운이 길게 남는다.
