잔을 흔들어 향을 깨우면 버번 호그스헤드가 빚은 맑은 황금빛이 유리벽에 얇게 감돈다. 코를 가까이 대면 글렌 엘긴 특유의 꿀과 잘 익은 복숭아, 바닐라향이 풍성하게 올라온다. 한 모금 입에 굴리면 57.1도의 단단함 위로 시트러스와 보리 단맛, 옅은 오크가 혀를 채운다. 12년 숙성답게 삼키고 나면 꽃향과 꿀이 입천장을 따라 부드럽게 이어진다.
