잔을 들어 천천히 돌리면 28년의 시간이 스민 짙은 황금빛이 잔 벽을 타고 매끈하게 흘러내린다. 코끝으로 가져가면 티니닉다운 왁스 같은 질감 위로 레몬과 풀잎, 옅은 미네랄의 향이 깨끗하게 피어오른다. 한 모금을 머금어 혀 위에서 굴리면 49.1도의 부드러운 기운 속에 시트러스와 꿀, 흰 후추가 맑게 번진다. 입천장을 천천히 적시면 티니닉다운 왁스 같은 질감과 옅은 미네랄이 한층 매끈하게 번진다. 오크 캐스크에서 익은 이 하이랜드 노장은 삼킨 뒤 왁스와 시트러스의 잔향이 깔끔하게 이어진다.

it’s a relatively earthy one, quite mineral too, with a lot of grass, apple peel and lemon zest (moderate). The cask has been very lazy because this smells very young. Not saying it isn’t nice of course. Keeps changing, becoming a little fruitier, mainly on greengages and not-too-ripe gooseberries, with growing whiffs of wood and coal smoke

once again the profile is youngish, with pears, lemon drops and marshmallows, before a grassy bitterness starts to take over. Green pepper but also lime. All that is very green, agreed

quite long, still bitter and even more lemony
