Tasting Notes
노즈에서는 토니 포트 파이프 피니시에서 온 짙은 베리, 잘 익은 자두의 향이 가장 먼저 두드러지며 달모어 특유의 묵직한 곡물 향이 명확하게 드러난다. 팰럿으로 옮겨가면 다크 초콜릿, 토피, 옅은 시나몬이 풀바디로 다가오고 44% ABV의 알코올이 부드럽게 받쳐준다. 피니시는 길고 와인 노트와 오크 탄닌이 잔잔하게 발전한다. 알코올의 무게가 팰럿 중반부를 단단하게 받쳐주며 캐릭터 분리가 또렷하다. 1998년 빈티지 달모어 18년 숙성된 디스틸러리 빈티지 시리즈 보틀링에서 노던 하이랜드 포트 피니시의 균형감이 또렷하다.

less bright, fruity and fresh than the Quartet, and even more on dried fruits, fruitcake, figs, raisins, and something that's not uncommon with these kinds of wine-heavy combinations, brandy, especially cognac. In truth you'd be forgiven for thinking this is VSOP cognac
restaurant Palate
haven't they tried to replicate cognac indeed? I don't know if that's the muscat in the mixture, could be. Raisins, peaches, touches of mint, touches of liquorice, some violet sweets, aniseed drops, some chocolate from the woods (some French oak involved?) and some oranges and agave syrup. I find it to my liking
timer Finish
medium, sweeter and rounder, with good honey, liquorice, jams, a touch of mocha in the aftertaste…
