하일랜드의 달모어가 토니 포트 파이프와 아포스톨레스 셰리에서 마무리한 16년산 루미너리 넘버 투다. 짙은 적동색이 잔에 깊게 어린다. 달모어 특유의 오렌지 마멀레이드와 다크 초콜릿, 잘 익은 자두의 향이 풍성하게 피어오른다. 48.6도의 입맛은 말린 과일과 커피, 따뜻한 향신료가 또렷하게 맞물리며 두꺼운 질감으로 흐른다. 긴 여운에는 오렌지 껍질과 카카오, 묵힌 오크가 깊게 머물며 호화로운 결을 남긴다.

starts a little hot and buttery, fudgy, rather without the usual orange and chocolate notes. Interesting notes of arak, raisins and then more and more butterscotch as well as custard and apple pie. I also find quite some marzipan, cedar wood and, indeed, more and more chocolate after a few minutes. Brownies, roasted malt, a little earl grey tea, brioche, vanilla… It’s rounded and clean at the same time

starts big, with gingerbread and speculoos that suggest some fairly active wood was involved. Even a little capsicum, then more roasted malt and toasted oak. Also burnt brioche, touches of thyme and a growing cardamom

quite long, a little drying, with some oak and bitter chocolate
