Tasting Notes
노즈에서는 달모어다운 잘 익은 오렌지 껍질과 셰리에서 온 건과일이 가장 먼저 두드러지고 옅은 가죽과 보리 단내가 뒤따라 발전한다. 12년 숙성의 팰럿은 캐러멜과 마른 과일, 가벼운 향신료가 균형 있게 드러나며 단정한 구조감을 보인다. 43도의 도수는 자극 없이 정돈되어 하이랜드 특유의 둥근 질감과 셰리의 단맛을 받쳐 준다. 피니시는 옅은 오크 스파이스와 오렌지, 마른 과일로 길게 이어지며, 1970년대에 병입된 달모어가 지닌 고전적이고 정제된 옛 스타일이 분명하게 정리된다.

walnuts and teas at first, Darjeeling-Express style, then fresh figs, old books, incense and cinnamon rolls. Very old school indeed, but then again, there isn’t much to enjoy in 2020, don’t you agree? I would imagine someone could have a bottle of this in the drinks cabinet of his rusty old Bentley. New ones are so nouveau-riche…

fudge, stout, praline, chocolate, cinnamon rolls again, a little tobacco, quite some tea (Darjeeling indeed) and the expected old walnuts. A wee earthy side and even a few mushrooms. Excellent
