Tasting Notes
북부 하이랜드 크로마티 만에 면한 달모어는 진한 셰리와 오렌지 향으로 이름난 증류소다. 잔에는 깊은 마호가니빛이 흐른다. 버번 숙성 후 마투살렘 셰리에서 마무리한 18년 원액은 오렌지 마멀레이드와 다크 초콜릿, 건포도 향을 우아하게 풀어내고, 만의 서늘한 공기가 셰리 단맛에 또렷한 결을 더한다. 43도의 입안은 초콜릿과 말린 과일, 향신료가 매끄럽게 흐른다. 여운에는 오렌지와 셰리의 단맛이 길게 머문다.

this one’s more complex, rather more floral, and certainly more tertiary, with whiffs of old humidor, prunes in armagnac, peonies, walnut wine, brandy de Jerez, and then a slightly heavy/spicy breadiness, reminding us of pumpernickel. Some moist all-honey gingerbread too
restaurant Palate
very oily mouth feel, as if glycerol had been added (of course there cannot be any!) and a totally ‘gingerbready’ development. White pepper, chestnut honey, marmalade, Corinth raisins, spelt, perhaps buckwheat, walnuts… It really tends to become dry, with quite a lot of raw cocoa powder. I always quote Van Houten, but there must be other brands

rather long, with a very spicy sherry. If you will, this is the opposite of sherried Macallan
