키 큰 증류기로 섬세한 술을 빚는 글렌모렌지 2005년이 세컨필 버번 배럴에서 14년을 보내고 맑은 금빛으로 잔에 빛난다. 코끝에는 흰 꽃과 잘 익은 복숭아, 바닐라의 향이 산뜻하게 피어오르고, 옅은 시트러스가 뒤따른다. 한 모금 머금으면 시트러스와 꿀, 가벼운 크림의 단맛이 매끄럽게 번지고, 글렌모렌지 특유의 가볍고 우아한 결이 혀 위에 곱게 깔린다. 57.1도의 기운이 의외로 단정하게 흐르며, 마지막에는 꽃과 과일의 여운이 길게 이어진다.

starts on milk chocolate, milk chocolate, milk chocolate and… coffee, and develops more on rubbery/sulphury aromas. Strawberry jam and then something like corked wine (but it’s not exactly cork). Heavy notes of gunpowder as well. Not too much to my liking, but maybe water will help. With water: immense notes of nutmeg, parsley and green curry. Very unusual
