Tasting Notes
노즈에서는 글렌모렌지 계열답게 잘 익은 복숭아와 꿀, 옅은 시트러스 향이 가장 먼저 드러난다. 팰럿에서는 호그스헤드에서 30년을 보낸 웨스트포트답게 부드러운 몰트 단맛과 바닐라, 은은한 오크 향신료가 선명하게 전개되며 균형이 단단하다. 46.2도의 도수가 원숙한 풍미를 매끄럽게 받친다. 피니시는 잘 익은 과일과 꿀이 길게 남으며, 30년 장기 숙성한 캐스크의 깊이가 돋보인다.

again, not as winey as feared. Sure there are quite some blackcurrants, peonies and raspberries but this winesky is well made. Not my cup of malt at all but well made. Okay, let’s not spend too much time on this one

long but really too much for my tastes. Another premix? Not my profile at all. From 72 points for the older version to... 72 points for this new one, even if it’s more, err, ‘concentrated’ – to say the least. Glenmorangie Nectar d’Or (46%, OB, Sauternes finish, 2007) Exit Madeira and Burgundy, here’s a Sauternes finish. It’s not impossible that new owners LVMH provide the distillery with their own empty Sauternes casks (yes, it’s Sauternes with an s at the end. Sauterne is a pale copy made in America, or a frequent misspelling done by some of our Scottish friends. Well, I do it myself sometimes, but not on labels, eh!)
