Tasting Notes
북부 하일랜드 테인, 스코틀랜드에서 가장 키 큰 증류기가 깨끗하고 우아한 글렌모렌지를 빚는다. 처음 그을린 새 오크와 셰리 캐스크에서 23년을 보낸 1998년 빈티지는 잔에 짙은 황금빛으로 빛난다. 코에는 잘 익은 복숭아와 오렌지, 바닐라와 향신료의 향이 화사하게 솟아오르고, 43도의 부드러운 도수 속에서 꿀과 시트러스, 정향이 매끄럽게 입을 감싼다. 여운에는 꿀과 향신료의 우아한 단맛이 길고 깔끔하게 이어진다.

similar in style but more restrained, much less expressive and lively. More caramel too. Gets a little grassy
restaurant Palate
strong attack, quite spirity and sour. Overcooked caramel, burnt cake, candy sugar. It gets more and more sourish… Some offbeat notes (vinegar, overcooked wine sauce). Not too enjoyable, I must say. Long, but kind of dirty finish, on raisins and cheap rum. I don’t like it too much, I’m afraid. 72 points . Maybe it was just the batch, but what a downfall!
